Guess Who's Back

ME!!! Yeah. So I'm back from my trip to the lovely land of Chugoku Chiho... It sucks to be back at school. The weather is getting hot so the students are getting even lazier than they already are... Oh how I love my job. My elementary school visit is coming up soon though... and that is enough to make me happy.

The trip was good. I don't want to talk about it too much yet because I still haven't uploaded all my pictures... I was having issues with my iPod so I had to save my pics from the first half on someone else's iPod... and I still have yet to re-acquire said pics. I will post pics when I have all of them.
The weather was nice the whole time except for the night we froze on the beach so that we could watch the sunset and the rain on the last day. I was driving for most of the time, which was suprisingly fun considering that I see driving as a chore... Japan has a beautiful coastline and the spring foliage on the mountains are spectacular (at least the ones that have been spared from the concrete and the logging).
We went to Okayama, Kurashiki, Iwakuni, Hiroshima, Omishima, Yamaguchi, Hagi, Matsue, Tottori, Kinosaki and Amanohashidate... I think that's everything... It was the whirlwind tour of all the major spots of the region. I climbed a snowy mountain, stayed in a Buddhist temple, went through a mountain obstacle course, wandered through castles, contemplated life in zen gardens, saw the famous sand dunes, soaked in hot springs, explored a cave, biked over 30km... The trip was exhausting yet absolutely fantastic and I would do it again in an instant. In fact, the trip was more work than actual work...

I'll post pictures later this week.
